Lyrics (translation):
Under the cover of darkness and kneeling down before You I’m interceding with You for all the tired, the poor and those I meet in the night hours, lost in their grey shadow for all those who are awake in fear of what comes with the new morning hear the plea that I wear on my lips give them a blessed sleep awaken hope and love in us what if they are dozing off somewhere bring rest and peace to everything that surrounds us let the rush and crazy time slow down give us some faith back where children's laughter has disappeared from the streets and where the generous hand of a friend is why we see failure behind modesty and money, power or fame behind success teach us to face arguments and disagreements and how to fall to the ground with honour how to stay true to firm principles and show the lost the right way awaken kindness to our neighbours in us what if it is dozing off somewhere do not let it be sought there where it is not at all bring rest and peace to everything that surrounds us let envy, anger and resentment drive away and give us some faith back for these humble requests, our Lord, humbly please, I believe, I hope with thanks that you listen indulgently and forgive me if I dare too much
